Revised Lesson From Module 2

The rain forest program directly relates to social studies curriculum focusing on forests. In their classroom the children will learn about the different layers of the rainforest and the animals in this environment. After the conference, the students will work in groups of 2 or 3 to write a script for a play. I like the idea that this lesson plan encourages an interaction between the grades and that they will share with their kindergarten or first grade book buddies using their rain forest puppets. The play will highlight the information that the students gained from their video conferencing experience. Additionally, the children will create puppets based on the knowledge the acquired through the video conference.
